Boca Raton Artists Guild Winter Show
By Dave Reeves
So…..we’re strolling down Atlantic Avenue the other night and my wife guides me toward the Boca Raton Artists Guild Gallery.
She along with fellow members have their work displayed at the recently opened show that extends through January. The hook? Wine and cheese. Never one to turn down a quick snack.
An outstanding selection of all kinds of work – oil paintings, photography, water color. And while I’m not an art aficionado, I was and have been quite impressed with the quality of work. Certainly worth a visit. You never know. You might find that special piece of art that can decorate a room in the house.
The Guild has 11 shows every year.
Coming up is the organization’s Silent Art Auction, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 11 at the gallery at 512 East Atlantic Avenue. For more information, call 561-278-7877 or visit www.bocaguild.com. Free and open to the public.
Speaking of art, the Boca Raton Museum Art School on Palmetto Park Road (801 W. Palmetto Park Rd) is currently enrolling students for its January term. A wide range of courses avaluable – jewelry making, oil, water color, etc. Call 561-392-2503 or visit https://www.bocamuseum.org.
